Been coming to Lodge for quite a few years now. This has been one of the best. Lots of relaxation, some good fishing and some cracking fish. The fish seem to have fought really hard this year, with some absolutely immaculate commons caught.
Tactics were simple, stick to same spots. Fish for a bite at a time, all methods worked with most fish falling to simple rigs and running leads.
All Joes fish fell to boilie, while Tom & Sal caught almost exclusively on Garys dumbells. Casting solid balls at the far margin got some bonus fish, with bigger fish coming from deeper water.
P.S: You need to try the citron meringues from the bakery in Nantiat…
