Method: We used house bait and plenty of it !! 2 sacks of house pellet & 2 sacks of hard pellet. All boilies worked including pop-up, snowmen and single, probably the best was Rum & Raspberry.
Caught fish at all locations across the lake.
Top Tip – Listen to Gary he knows this better than anyone and all the tweaks he suggested worked !
Boat the bait out.
Comments: Dave and I have been coming to the lake for 8 years and I have been a couple of times before. So we know the lake. This has been our most prolific trip but it is always good with lots of memorably fish over the years including a 110lb Cat caught by my son, an 88lb Cat I caught on a tiny spinner whilst Pike fishing and loads of firsts and PB’s. Sturgeon, grass carp, first 30lb, first 40lb, pike PB’s twice, so we love it.
The tips are the same each time:
- Use loads of bait
- Use loads of Bait
- Yes, Gary does well if you use loads of bait but so do you ! He isn’t Bulls**ting you to buy more bait, it just works !
- Use his bait, it’s what he feeds them on
- Cover the whole lake and watch the water, the fish will move over the week
- Don’t keep chopping and changing, they will come
- Early mornings and evenings are best, We like our beds so no night fishing !
- As Dave says ask Gary, if it’s quiet he will give you an idea
- Finally, use lots of bait.
The best news for us, is when we arrive, and Gary says that the week before, the quests didn’t use much bait !!!!!!!!! Think about it…
