Deepening Work around Cocky's island Day 2.

Well Hello again,

Day 2 of the digger working around the lake at the Lodge, destroying more homes we have built! We are definitely not happy but Gary seems pleased with the work Philippe has done.

I heard Gary say that he is off to the Cabin next to work over there, I'd better get a message to my lot over there quickly to prepare them for the onslaught!

Gary has made another video for you all (see below)

Roach and Rudd delivered at the Cabin Nov 12

Hello again,

They've had another delivery at the Cabin, 14 pike and 2 big buckets, about 70kg of Roach and Rudd

I did notice that Gary pressed the wrong button on the video so he didn't get a video of the pike only the roach! What can I say, not a techie then!!

Well you've got 2 short videos to see more bloody fish going in the cabin!

See you soon,

Koi delivered at the Cabin Nov'12

Hello All,

Had a visit to the Cabin today and saw a whole load of koi being delivered to the big lake and lots of smaller ones for the small lake.

What beautiful fish they are, all colourful and patterned they will really add some variety to your catches..

The owners kindly took a couple of videos for you all to have a look at what they put in.

Enjoy,

The Big Proposal!

We've had a honeymoon, and now another first at Lodge Lakes, a wedding proposal.......and Dan most definitely proposed in style, albeit risky!!

SMOOTH Dan tied the engagement ring onto the end of his line, cast it out into the lake (luckily not into the silt!) and then asked Kirsty to reel his rod in to change his boilie where she found the ring....

Thinking about it Dan, it was a good job that the pike didn't go for it sparkling in the water as Kirsty was reeling it in!!

We are proud to announce Lodge Lakes The Cabin  - which has two lakes, one of 1.25 acres and the second 0.5 acre. The bigger of the two lakes will be stocked with 1 tonne of carp - approximately 100 fish - ranging from doubles up to mid thirties.

The veranda collapsing

Hello again,

Dale and his mates had a bad week fishing with the rain and too much partying.... they were just saying their goodbyes and posing for a picture at the normal place ( the corner of the veranda ) when they disappeared out of photo shot ......I looked over the top of the camera and they had fallen 4 ft, Amazingly not one of them fell in the water!!!!

New look 2011

Welcome to our new look site for 2011. It was all designed around our new logo that we had design for us and we hope you all like the look, find it easy to navigate around and enjoy some new additions, i.e. the new social bar, our hot deals page, and the new welcome video to entertain you!! I must say that I am no news reader and it could probably do with a lot more editing, but then I don't think there would be anything left to see!!! It was very hard to do but hopefully it adds a new twist.....

Please let us know your thoughts, good or bad, we welcome all comments.

Rumours - Response

Many thanks Roland for submitting your comment (to view pls see comment under "Rumours" blog)......

It's funny you responding to my blog, as I was going to mention you in the blog referring to your comments during your stay about how the fish had just finished spawning as a lot of them had very soft squidgy bellies! and how this also contributes to weight loss during the season............But as we all know we can go on and on with reasons for weight loss...

Rumours

Rumours, Rumours, Rumours................!

As most of my customers know, I am a straight talking, no nonsense, and honest bloke.........and as forums are the best way to find out about the good and the bad lakes, it kind of annoys me when I hear that there has been a few comments posted on forums stating that I have taken a few 40's out of the lake on the last drain down in 2009.

Thieves

Oh Dear....., It is a shame that I have to write this but how sad can some people be???

We were cleaning through the house like we do every Saturday morning and we noticed where we put up my old woolworths classic pike rod with an old mitchell reel on it and one of my old spinners to make it look nice in the lodge, some dirty stinking scum of a person has cut off the spinner tied the line back on to the eye of the rod and nicked the spinner!!!!!!

I truly, truly hope that the treble hook on the spinner gets that person right where it hurts, to put it mildly...

FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON

Hello All,

The catch reports for the first couple of months were pretty good. The Romford Boys, Tackle Tarts, and The Bloody Good Anglers all caught over 70 Fish with around 20 thirties caught each week...

Jeff from the Hildonians on Tour had a 19lb 11oz, 34lb 9oz, and 41lb 7oz with all rods practically going at the same time and the 34 and 41 in the same landing net...!

The catch reports in June haven't been that good due to the constant heat, it seems like the carp have all put their feet up!
